Powerful ultra-slim flashlight. Uses regular AA or 14500 li-ion
  • 1/10/107/176 LED lumen (XM-L U2)
  • 0.5/8/75/122 lumen
  • Runtime: 1.3/2.5/20/150+ hours
  • Twist head for group output, clicky switch for on/off and modes
  • *Compatible with 14500 li-ion
Operations: (Basic) Press on the switch button until it clicks to switch on. Press the switch again for off. Access output groups 1 & 2 by tighten or loosen the head. Slightly press the switch to switch between different outputs. (Advance) 1) Moonlight output - dim or increase the entire output range of the group 1 output. Toggle this setting starting with head loosens, turn on the light, and then repeat tight and loose for three times.

* Using 3.7V li-ion significantly increase the LED output. Limit each usage to less than fives minutes or less at high and turbo output. Hold the light in your plam to help removing heat from the LED. If you find the flashlight too warm to hold, turn off the light, or lower the output to allow it to cool down. Do not leave the light running unintended.

NiteCore EA4

A few months ago NiteCore had released the EA4 flashlight. It is a great AA flashlight that runs on 4 AA batteries. It fits in the hand and has 5 output modes plus 3 different signal modes.

At $72 shipped within Canada it offers great value and a good versatility. I would recommend using rechargeable batteries in this light as well as in any of the AA battery lights. A flashlight is considered a high-drain device and there is a chance that alkaline batteries could leak.

The EA4 would be a great light to carry on your belt in its holster, to carry in a backpack or to leave in a vehicle for when it is needed. The EA4 is available online at Keenbeam.com
